8 months

You have a new strange fear of hats. You cried when grandpa cope came over and had one on. Then dad tried one on and you reacted the same. You're becoming more stubborn and independent. We has to lower your crib again because you pull yourself up and we were scared you would fall over the edge. You are pulling yourself up on everything lately. And prefer standing and walking assisted to crawling. You do really well playing by yourself. You crawl around the room and play with different toys. You love keys but not fake ones. You like the real thing. You've learned to pick up bits of food with your thumb and pointer finger and bring it to your mouth. Sometimes I swear you wave hi and bye. You say baba and mama and dada. I don't know if you know mama is me but you know dada is daddy. Sometimes you copy us while we are talking and say random words. You love giving me kisses and you love teasing dad and pushing his face away when he gives you kisses. You had a rough couple days with diarrhea and bad diaper rash. You would wake up at night crying because you hurt. You let me cuddle you and fell asleep in my arms a few times which you haven't don't since you were a newborn. I loved it! You like rolling balls back and forth with dad. He thinks you're going to be a basketball player. You're getting good at climbing up the stairs with help but mostly ignore them which is nice. You wave "bye bye" when people leave. You love climbing up the side of coffee table and throwing down whatever is in top. You love making messes and dumping out the bins of your toys especially right after we pick them all up. You finally got two cute, little teeth on the bottom. You've had lots of drool, rosy cheeks, and waking up at midnight the last couple weeks. You enjoy playing with your box of books, pulling them out one by one, pretending to read them, and then chewing on then a bit. Even though this hasn't been an easy month for either of us with weaning and teething, there's nothing I love more than watching you learn and grow everyday.
