The Whitlocks: 6 Months

I can't believe how fast these months are flying. You've been a complete joy at 6 months. You love jumping all the time still and finally fit into your jumper toy. You love sitting up and rolling and scooting all over the place. You get up on your hands and knees and rock back and forth but no crawling yet. You are so proud of yourself when you do that. You love peekaboo and patty cake. You sleep 11-12 hours and day and nurse 4-5 times. You enjoy playing in your crib for a little while before falling asleep and after you wake up. You are eating solids 2-3 times a day and loving just about all the food we give you. You're a good eater! We have you sit in your high chair and eat with us when we have dinner. And you and mom eat breakfast together every morning. You have your oatmeal and I have my granola. You love to laugh and squeal. You love soft blankets and your doll named Suzie. You figured out how to sip water from your sippy cup. You love sucking in watermelon that dad gives you and you whine for more. You are getting very good with your hands. Learning how to move things and play with toys. You love the tags on things. You'll find it and play with it for a long time. You still love water bottles and any bag that makes noise. You love the balloon aunt Megan got me for my birthday. You play with it and try to eat it everyday. You try to eat everything! Yesterday you were gnawing in grandma Whitlock's table. You enjoy helping mom and dad do chores and love to go outside. At your 6 month appt, you were 17.5 pounds and 26 inches. A little shorter than average and a little heavier. You wear size 3 diapers and your wearing 6-9 month and even 9 month clothes. Your hair is starting to grow a little. I have to put lotion on it in the mornings because it sticks up. You are very happy, curious, busy, independent baby. You have started crying when I leave the room and you can't see me anymore. Even if it is just for a minute. You do this to dad too when he walks away. You still don't have any teeth but like chewing on your fist. You saw a puppy for the first time, because the Roger's bought one. You were hysterically laughing and screaming at her. It was the funniest thing. The puppy got scared and hid from you. You give kisses when I say "kisses". Usually it's with an open mouth and tongue. You know your name and look at us when we call it. You like facetiming people everyday still.
