My gramps not only volunteered to drive my car all the way across the country, but he was actually excited to do it. He went to law school out here 50 years ago and wanted to see it all again. He made the 2,400 mile journey in my car and arrived in time for me to have it when I got there. Here is a funny, little story...
Grandpa meets me at my apartment to return my car...
He tells me "we have a problem" and "your car isn't perfect anymore"....
Someone backed into the my bumper while it was parked just before they came to meet me. He felt so, so bad...He has also been an attorney for almost 50 years and knew exactly how to handle the situation. He was not sure if the guy had insurance and didn't want to deal with it since it happened out of state. So, he made the guy go to an ATM to get $500 to cover the cost of my bumper. The funny part is that my grandpa made the guy leave his wife with them so they wouldn't just drive away and not return. Don't mess with my Grandpa Tingey!

Hahaha!! This is a great story! Go Grandpa Tingey!
Sweet! Who cares about a bumper? I'd use the $500 on some cute new Washington D.C. style clothes!
This is such a great story! And I'm with Rachel... Go by shoes!
